Private Northern Lights Photo Tour

Gather your family and friends for this fantastic Northern Lights private tour, during which you'll join one of our expert photography guides to capture the dancing Aurora Borealis over Iceland’s epic landscapes. This is the perfect opportunity for aspiring shutterbugs or simply those looking to hone their skills to take home fantastic pictures and memories from Iceland. In the evening, your group will be picked up at your hotel in Reykjavík by your photo guide in a 4x4 vehicle. The Northern Lights can best be seen in darkness, so they'll drive you away from the bright city lights, taking you into the dark countryside. Once you are at the perfect spot to see the Aurora, your guide will help you set up your camera and teach you how to best capture the green lights as they dance over the stunning landscapes. This tour takes place when the Northern Lights are visible in Iceland, which is during the seasons of autumn and winter. Make sure that you’ll dress warmly, as you will be spending your time standing outside in the elements. After you’ve captured some beautiful images of the Northern Lights swirling around in the sky, it will be time to hop back onto the 4x4 and head to Reykjavík with memory cards full of fantastic photos to fill your landscape photography portfolio. Capture the magic of the Northern Lights in the company of people you know with this fantastic small-group photo tour. Check availability by choosing a date. Good to Know: Please note that we don’t provide extra passengers to fill up the 4 passenger quote. The tour is private to your group. If you have more than 4 passengers, then please contact us for a quote. If this tour appears as fully booked, don't hesitate to contact us as additional tours can be arranged on your selected date. Pickup: Usually at 8 pm but we will confirm the pickup time when we confirm the tour. If we don't have availability on your desired date, then please contact us and we will try and find you a spot on dates close to the initial one. If that date does not fit into your schedule, then we will refund your deposit (please note that exchange rates change and it might not be the exact amount). We understand that plans can change. Rest assured that there will be a full refund for cancellation up to 30 days before your tour. Northern Lights Second-Try Offer: Please remember that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon. Aurora strength depends on solar activity in the days prior to the tour and the Icelandic weather is constantly changing, with cloud cover affecting our view of the sky. With that in mind, we monitor 3 different weather reports in the days before the tour and decide on locations based on these predictions. That is why we cannot guarantee that we will catch the lights but with us, you will maximize your chances and be in the right spot to photograph them when they show up. We offer a second try if you are unable to catch the lights on the first night (valid for up to 2 years from the initial tour date). We will contact you the day before the first possible tour date (or in some cases, after 6pm on the first possible tour date) to let you know if the tour will continue as scheduled or not.

Private Photo Tour of the South Coast of Iceland

Take a private photo tour to the scenic South Coast and fill your memory card with beautiful pictures of the Icelandic nature. This is the perfect opportunity for both new and experienced photographers who are looking to sharpen their skills behind their camera, as you'll be accompanied by an award-winning photo guide every step of the way. On the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from Reykjavík city and driven along the South Coast where majestic glaciers tower over the road in the north. Meanwhile, the glittering Atlantic Ocean will be visible towards the south. Your first stop will be at two vastly different but equally stunning waterfalls – Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. The former falls in a narrow stream over a cave set inside a cliffside. It allows visitors to step behind the curtain of water to shoot the cascade from an unusual angle. Skógafoss, on the other hand, is much wider and more powerful. The land underneath it is very flat, allowing you to walk right up to falling springwater. This provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate the scale of this mighty waterfall as you practice using different shutter speeds for long exposure photography and other motion effects. Thereafter, you'll continue the journey eastwards to the promontory of Dyrhólaey. The area is famous for its impressive lighthouse, unusual rock arch which protrudes out from the mainland, as well as the surrounding black sand beach. In the summer, the cliffs are teeming with puffins while in the winter, the black sands are blanketed in white snow, providing great contrasting colours to your photographs. Before you head back to Reykjavík, you’ll visit Reynisfjara black sand beach right by the village of Vík. Here, you can capture the roaring Atlantic Ocean as it pounds against Reynisdrangar, a series of beautiful rock stacks which jut out of the sea like terrifying trolls. Don't miss out on this small group private photography tour to the stunning South Coast of Iceland! Check availability by choosing a date. Good to Know: Please note that we don’t provide extra passengers to fill up the 4 passenger quote. The tour is private to your group.
