Greenland is the world´s biggest island located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans where 85% of the land is ice. The summer is the season of the midnight sun and a great time to experience Greenland on both land and water. Whales swim along the shores, icebergs flow from calving glaciers and flowers and arctic plants abound. The climate is generally mild and weather in Greenland is often fine through this season. With only few exceptions there are normally no roads between towns and communities in Greenland so therefore our expedition will take place on the sturdy Donna Wood where we will be exploring the magnificent nature in Scoresby Sound fjord and to get further on shore for expanding our photography adventures we will be using zodiac boats. The Scoresby Sound on the eastern coast of Greenland has a tree-like structure that branches into a system of fjords making it the largest fjord complex in the world extending 350km inland and offers spectacular sceneries and tranquil surroundings with its wild and craggy fjords. The area offers endless opportunities in terms of photography and what you can expect once there are steep granite mountains, white icebergs floating and reflecting on calm blue Ocean, large glaciers, abundant wildlife, remote villages where local people still honor their roots; in other words a pure unspoiled and pristine nature and country. We promise you once in a lifetime experience with rolls full of magnificent photographs and joyful memories and memory cards.
