Explore the United Arab Emirates through the eyes of the camera. Our base will be in the vibrant city of Dubai to capture the amazing high-rise vantage points of one of the worlds top cityscape of Dubai. Plus, we will also visit Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to photograph the traditional and cultural elements and the vast desert landscape.
The temperature in January is actually mild and may get cold in the early mornings so this gives us more chance to witness the city fog during the twilight. This is the perfect time to shoot the dramatic skyline of Dubai with some vantage points offering incredible urban landscape views.
Although this tour is mostly focused on the iconic views from the different balconies around Dubai, we maximized our itinerary to add the opportunity to capture everything this destination can offer. This is why we will also photograph some of the largest sand dunes in the world and explore the Old Town with its traditional laneways, drive to Abu Dhabi’s famous Sheikh Zayed Mosque and create magic in one the most amazing photography studios. This trip is the ultimate photo tour that will bring together all the diversity, culture and excitement of Dubai.

Daily itinerary
Day 1 - Day 1: 25 January
When everyone has arrived, we will start with an introduction and briefing session to discuss the details of our the tour. After, We will savour our first views of the Dubai skyline with a cityscape photography masterclass with an incredible view. We will cover all the techniques, tips and safety advice for photographing from balconies and terraces
Day 2 -
We will have the sunrise shoot again from the terrace at Shangri-La and hopefully the morning fog will be there to greet us.
After our breakfast, we will be exploring the Dubai creek on the iconic abras and the Old Town Bastakiya with local Emiratis. This is a great opportunity for street photography of diveristy in Dubai as we venture the traditional streets before the city was modernized.
Afterwards, we will visit one of the most incredible vantage points to watch the sunset and blue hour plus the iconic fountain and light show at Burj Khalifa.
Day 3 -
We will have our sunrise from another amazing view of Dubai's skyline as the morning light creeps across the city
After breakfast, we will we will enjoy the day in Dubai's best photography studios as we create magic that isn’t possible almost anywhere else. Underwater, in the air, with fire, wind and fog……we will be utilising the studios amazing set-up for some portrait photography with a difference.
In the afternoon we will drive to Abu Dhabi to visit What Al Karama. This beautiful building has some stunning architecture and also one of the best views of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for sunset.
Day 4 -
On this day, we will explore the iconic Sheikh Zayed Mosque. We have an exclusive access to explore the iconic mosque where we can enjoy the morning light and absence of crowds. This is a unique opportunity to take incredible images of this world renowned building.
From here we will venture to Liwa, home to some of the worlds largest sand dunes. We will photograph some traditional desert compositions with the locals wearing their traditional dress. We will spend the night in a desert camp.
Day 5 -
We will be up early again to catch the soft morning light on the sand dunes and capture more amazing deserts cape images, before driving back to Dubai.
In the afternoon we will return to Dubai for another unique cityscape photo session of the Dubai skyline.
Day 6 -
The sunrise will focus around one of the most beautiful buildings of the world - The Museum of the Future - an incredible piece of architecture and one of the newest additions to Dubai's ever changing landscape.
After lunch, we will relax and work on our post processing lecture at the hotel. Here, we can talk about the different techniques for editing some of the images we have taken over the week.
For our final sunset, we will visit Dubai Marina. After shooting, we will explore around the marina and take some light trail images of the boats and long exposure shots. There are also many nice views from the ground at night for a short photo walk.
Day 7 -
On our last day, we will have the best views – from Aura Skypool where we will have an amazing 360 degrees view of the palm, marina, Burj Al Arab and all the way to Downtown Dubai.
After, we will head back to the hotel for debriefing and sharing of all our experiences from this incredible week of photography and fun.
