This helicopter tour offers an alternative to the well-trodden path of the Golden Circle. Instead, we will takeoff from Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, and head north to Hvalfjörður, a stunning fjord within easy reach of the city.
We will fly along the length of the fjord and capture the stunning scenery before flying inland to marvel at Iceland’s tallest waterfall, Glymur. This is truly one of nature’s most epic sights, and from our unique vantage point we will be able to appreciate the falls in all its glory.
After taking in the breathtaking Glymur, we will fly to Þingvellir, Iceland’s national park brimming with spectacular views and historical significance. As well as being the point at which the American and European tectonic plates come together, this is where the first Icelandic parliament was held.
Next we will visit the mighty Mount Hengill, a place renowned for geothermal activity and harnessed by energy companies for its thermal power.
Weather conditions permitting, the aim is to make one landing during the tour at one of our destinations.
