Day 1 - Arrival in Perth
Upon arriving in Perth, you'll check in to The Westin Perth, where you'll settle into your luxurious accommodations. We’ll kick off the tour with a group meeting to get acquainted and discuss the exciting plans for our upcoming adventure. Depending on your arrival time, there may be an opportunity to photograph the iconic Blue Boat House (Crawley Edge Boatshed), located just an 11-minute drive from the hotel. This historic landmark, set against the tranquil waters of the Swan River, offers a perfect start to your photographic journey in Western Australia.
Day 2 - Welcome to Shark Bay
After breakfast, we'll prepare for our flight to Monkey Mia. Upon arrival, a transfer will take the first group of four guests, along with the guide, directly to Shark Bay Aviation for a sunset flight. The remaining four guests will be taken to RAC Monkey Mia Resort for check-in and some leisure time. While one half of the group enjoys an aerial photography session over the stunning landscapes of Shark Bay, the rest can relax at the resort and get ready for their own sunrise flight the following morning.
Day 3 - Monkey Mia Reserve
This morning, half of our group will embark on a breathtaking sunrise flight over Shark Bay, capturing the stunning aerial views as the first light illuminates the vast landscapes and turquoise waters. Meanwhile, the rest of the group can enjoy a leisurely morning to rest and recharge.
After breakfast, we'll all head to the Monkey Mia Reserve for one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife experiences. For over 50 years, wild Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins have been visiting the shallow waters of Monkey Mia, offering a unique opportunity to see them up close. Under the careful supervision of Parks and Wildlife Service officers, the dolphins are fed according to strict guidelines to ensure their natural behaviors and hunting instincts remain intact. Here, you'll have the chance to photograph these incredible creatures as they swim gracefully through the clear waters.
In the afternoon, we'll regroup for a post-processing session. This dedicated time will allow us to review and refine the photos captured so far, with guidance from our photography experts.
For the sunset session, half of the group will once again embark on sunset flights over the stunning Shark Bay. As the sun dips below the horizon, they’ll capture the changing light and breathtaking aerial views of the bay’s vibrant landscapes and coastline. Meanwhile, the rest of the group can explore the scenic surroundings of Monkey Mia, capturing the soft evening light along the shoreline or enjoying a relaxing evening at the resort.
Day 4 - Hutt Lagoon & Kalbarri National Park
For half of the group, the day will begin with an exhilarating sunrise flight over Shark Bay, capturing the stunning morning light from above. After breakfast, we’ll head out on a scenic drive to Hutt Lagoon, famous for its vivid pink waters. Here, you’ll have the chance to capture this striking landscape with drone photography, allowing you to create unique aerial compositions.
Following our session at Hutt Lagoon, we’ll continue our journey to Geraldton, where we’ll check in to the Ocean Centre Hotel. On the way, we’ll take the picturesque route through Kalbarri National Park, stopping at the Skywalk for sweeping views of the park’s deep gorges and red rock formations. We’ll also pass through the charming town of Kalbarri, overlooking the scenic mouth of the Murchison River, offering plenty of opportunities for landscape photography along the way.
Day 5 - Pithara Lakes
After an early breakfast, we’ll set off for Pithara to capture the stunningly colorful lakes that are a hidden gem of Western Australia. These vibrant hues provide a striking backdrop for your photography, showcasing nature’s palette in a unique way. On our journey back to Perth, we’ll make stops to photograph the fascinating talc mines, where you can capture the contrast of the white talc against the surrounding landscape. We'll also take the opportunity to photograph Pithara Lakes from above, allowing you to explore different angles and perspectives for your shots before continuing on our route back to the city.
Day 6 - Departure
On our last day, we’ll enjoy a brief visit to Pinnaroo Cemetery, known for its unique kangaroo experience. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to photograph these iconic Australian animals in a serene and unusual setting. After this special encounter, you'll have time to reflect on your adventure and finalize your packing. Then, you’ll be ready to catch your flight back from Perth, taking with you a collection of beautiful photos and cherished memories from this unforgettable journey through Western Australia.
