Explore the world famous Norwegian fjords on this 8-day photography workshop high above the Arctic Circle!

This small group adventure will take you into the heart of Norway's most stunning scenery, where snowcapped mountains tower majestically over spectacular waterways. Along the way, you'll visit small fishing villages, capture waterfalls flowing from the sides of mountains, cruise between steep cliffs that have been created by thousands of years of glacial activity, hike up to a glacial lake and more... all while taking in the best locations for photography.

Throughout this tour, you'll have two professional photography guides on-hand to ensure that you'll be able to make the most of your time in Norway. They'll teach you everything you need to know about landscape photography so that you can take home breathtaking images and expand your portfolio. You'll have the opportunity to participate in a number of critique, feedback and post-processing sessions, which are tailored to advance your skills. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, there is something on this trip for everybody.

Daily itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 - Arrival

You'll arrive at Bergen Airport where you'll meet up with your guides and the rest of the group. Your guides will then go over the itinerary and plan for the days ahead, during which you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have before the tour begins. Once the formalities are out of the way, you'll begin the journey towards Odda, a village surrounded by emerald fjords, scenic cliffs, impressive mountain peaks and peaceful nature. Upon arrival, you'll check in to your hotel before heading out once again – this time with cameras in hand. The afternoon will be spent capturing two famous waterfalls, the first of which is Låtefoss – one of the most well-known attractions in all of Norway. Our next destination will be Langfoss, the fifth tallest waterfall in all of Norway at a height of 612 metres. It drops straight down into the fjord below, making for a truly astonishing sight.

Day 2

Day 2 - Eidsfjord

We'll rise early for breakfast on day two, before journeying north towards Eidsfjord. Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop to photograph the surroundings, as we head through a valley surrounded by majestic mountains. The highlight of the day will be when we get up close and personal with the impressive Vøringsfossen waterfall. This powerful waterfall drops in two cascades from the side of the Hardangervidda, which makes for astonishing compositions!

Day 3

Day 3 - Olden

On day three, we'll continue the journey up north to the pleasant village of Olden. Located at the mouth of the Oldeelva river, this village makes the perfect base for us to explore the surrounding scenery in detail throughout the rest of the day. Get ready to have your breath taken away by roaring waterfalls as we hike up towards a glacial lake by Briksdals Glacier in Jostedalsbreen National Park. We'll stop to photograph them along the way, capturing the extraordinary landscape as we get closer to Lake Olden. With its unique green water, this lake has often been described as the most beautiful in all of Norway.

Day 4

Day 4 - Geiranger

On day four, we'll make our way to Geiranger, a village that has been described as the jewel in the crown of Norway's fjords. This UNESCO-protected village is surrounded by vegetation, soaring mountain peaks and stunning coastlines. Once we arrive, we'll check in to our hotel, right in the heart of town. In the afternoon, we'll head to a couple of wonderful vantage points at Flydalsjuvet and Dalsnibba, which are situated at more than 1500 metres above sea level. They offer sprawling, panoramic views over Geiranger and the fjords, which are perfect for photography.

Day 5

Day 5 - Geiranger

On day five, we'll continue our exploration of Geiranger and its surrounds. The highlight of the day will be when we take a cruise of the entire 15km length of the legendary Geiranger fjord by boat. Sailing along the fjord will give us a great opportunity to photograph the amazing Seven Sisters waterfall, which consists of several streams tumbling from the side of a cliff into the deep water below. We'll also capture The Suitor, a single waterfall opposite the Seven Sisters which makes for another compelling sight. Don't get too comfortable on the boat though, because we'll make a shore-landing at a historic mountain farm at Skageflå, where we'll hike along the sides of sheer cliffs to reach a spectacular viewpoint. There will be a lot of magnificent scenery to photograph along the way and we'll take advantage of it all! Later in the afternoon, we'll head towards a viewpoint at the end of the bending Ørnesvingen road, where we'll have a beautiful view of Geiranger as the sun begins to set.

Day 6

Day 6 - Åndalsnes

On day six, we'll leave Geiranger and make our way to the port town of Åndalsnes. Along the way, we'll stop at Gudbrandsjuvet canyon to stretch our legs and and capture the Valldøla river flowing through the surrounding woods and ravine. From there, we'll go to the famous winding road of Trollstigen. Also known as the 'Troll's Road', this stretch of road twists along 11 hairpin bends, 858 metres above sea level up the mountain of Stigrøra. From the top, we'll have a number of dramatic photographic opportunities, as we gaze down at the valley below!

Day 7

Day 7 - Vengedalen

Day seven will be devoted to exploring the mountainous scenery of the Vengedalen valley. From here, we'll hike to the Litlefjellet viewpoint. Although steep and situated at 660 metres above sea level, it will all be worth it when we reach the peak, which offers spectacular views of Romsdalen, Åndalsnes and the mountain massif Trollveggen below.

Day 8

Day 8 - Departure

This will be our final day in the fjords of Norway. After breakfast, your guides will transport you Molde Airport, where you'll say farewell to the rest of the group and take your flight home or onwards to your next destination – no doubt with a plethora of images to sort through, a host of new photography skills beneath your belt and new friendships to last a lifetime.
