Lokinhamrar is a deserted land in Lokinhamradal east in the north of Arnarfjordur .
On both sides of the valley are high mountains and soaring hillsides.
Guðmundur G. Hagalín was born and grew up at Lokinhamrar and is the scene of Lokinhamra's history in many of his publications.
A road to Lokinhamrar was built in 1974, and the farm was in use until 1989. Before the road Kjaransbraut came from Dýrafjördur.
