Day 1
7-Day Senja Summer Hiking Photo Tour - day 1

Arrival

You'll be met by your guides at Evenes Airport around 1pm. From there, you'll make your way as a group by minivan to your first destination. The drive will take approximately 1.5 hours, though we'll make stops along the way for coffee and food.

Once we arrive, there will be an easy hiking trail that will lead towards our first campsite where we'll pitch our tents. After everyone has finished setting up, we'll decide upon our shooting location for sunset. There are two viewpoints, both of which offer staggering views of the fjords below. Whatever we choose to photograph tonight, we'll save the other for sunrise in the morning.

Day 2
7-Day Senja Summer Hiking Photo Tour - day 2

We'll spend the morning capturing the sunrise over the fjords from our spectacular viewpoint close to camp. Afterwards, we'll return to our tents for breakfast, before packing up and hiking back down. We'll then drive to a nearby cafe, where we'll spend some of the morning looking over our images and participating in our first post-processing session as a group. You'll have plenty of time to ask any questions that you may have and to receive helpful critique that will no doubt help you to improve your photography skills.

Thereafter, we'll make a brief stop at the local supermarket to pick up some supplies, before commencing a 45 minute hike to our next camping destination – an amazing location right near a mountain ridge with panoramic views over Segla. This will be our subject for the next sunset and sunrise, which we'll aim to capture from different angles beneath the glorious golden light.

Day 3
7-Day Senja Summer Hiking Photo Tour - day 3

We'll wake early on day three and begin the hike back to the village, where we'll convene at a cafe for coffee and another post-processing session. After that, we'll drive along the coastline, following the fjords until we come to the edge of a rainforest. From there, we'll hike through the vegetation until we reach a wonderful viewpoint, where we'll be treated to breathtaking scenery of the fjords and mountains in the surrounds.

Day 4
7-Day Senja Summer Hiking Photo Tour - day 4

On days four and five, we'll pitch our tents at the best viewpoint on Senja island, to ensure that we'll be well-located for the golden light of the Midnight Sun. The hike to this position will take us approximately 45 minutes.

Day 5
7-Day Senja Summer Hiking Photo Tour - day 5

The hike to the summit of the mountain will take us another 40 minutes. While steep, the astounding views will make it all the more worthwhile once we get to the top. It will seem as though you have the world beneath your feet, with mountains and fjords reaching far out into the ocean below.

Day 6
7-Day Senja Summer Hiking Photo Tour - day 6

On day six, we'll pack our belongings and hike back down the mountain to our vehicles. Along the way, we'll make numerous stops for photography, capturing the sharp mountain ridges that rise up all around us.

Once we are back in our vans, we'll continue our journey around the area, exploring the lush green woodlands, calm waters of the fjords and quaint fishing villages.

In the evening, we'll check in to the delightful comfort of a wonderful hotel for some well-earned rest and a shower! There will be some time to freshen up before we meet together as a group for our final dinner and a post-processing masterclass.
