Travel the world to capture the most incredible landscapes
Secure your spot on this brilliant 8-day photography tour capturing some of the most stunning attractions, landscapes and islands that Scotland has to offer.
Scotland is a storied land, rich in history and culture. It's been the setting of many an epic story — both fictional and real — which is a testament to just how much the land is worth visiting.
Our trip will span eight days, where we'll spend time capturing the beauty of Scotland's profound landscapes, not only in places often-visited by photographers and tourists but also a lot of equally beautiful spots that lie off the beaten path.
You will see attractions like the Northern castles and the rocky waterfalls of Quiraing landslip, as well as fantastic sunsets at Skye and the majestic views from Glencoe Village.
We start our tour in Inverness, from where we'll head directly to the Isle of Skye. Rolling mountains and deep coastline fjords are just among the natural formations that we'll encounter in our journey.
The almost-prehistoric feel of the Isle of Skye’s rural landscape and waterfalls is just a sampling of what kinds of sights await us. Other significant sites include the volcanic Old Man of Storr and the turquoise waters of Scotland’s Fairy Pools.
Don’t hesitate to join this brilliant 8-day photo tour exploring the ancient landscapes of Scotland. Check availability by choosing a date.
From there, we will be heading to the capital of the Isle of Skye, crossing a painting-like landscape of rolling hills, green meadows, rugged coastlines and a tempestuous ocean.
During this journey, you will get your first taste of the Scottish countryside, and will naturally ponder how best to capture this stunning country through your photographs.
Fear not, for over the next eight days, you will add valuable contributions to your portfolio, including shots of mountains, shorelines, ancient buildings and stunning panoramas.
We will be staying in Portree for four nights.
When it comes to capturing the rising sun, there could be no better vantage point!
A plethora of rolling mountains and moss-covered rock, Quiraing landslip is as rustic and as close to nature as you can get, and with the sunrise's golden light in play, it's a view one can never forget.
After our time photographing the sunrise is over, we'll spend the majority of the day capturing otherworldly Fairy Glen and the natural castle of Ewan.
We'll then take in the golden light at the Neist Point lighthouse in Portree.
Once arrived, we will capture the sun's first rays hitting this ancient natural formation and, hopefully, create a plethora of beautiful photographs.
After a breather, our next destination will be a few nearby waterfalls, before a sunset shoot at Eileen Donan Castle.
In the afternoon, we'll make our way to the Elgol village coastline for some awesome sunset shooting.
Thereafter, we'll continue our journey south, pausing at the Glenfinnan Viaduct for photo opportunities. You may recognise this gorgeous area as famous for being a filming location for the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films. The steam train will be running, so be prepared to capture it in all its atmospheric beauty!
From there, we'll travel into Glencoe, the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Carved by glaciers and volcanic activity, this area is rich in history and brimming with photographic delights. We'll make our home for the next few nights at the Kingshouse Hotel.
We'll then make our way along the Glen, stopping to shoot at various waterfalls situated upon the River Etive. There is the possibility of an encounter with the wild red deer that call this area home. In the afternoon, we'll head to a famous filming location for James Bond's 'Skyfall'.
From there, we'll make our way back to Inverness and drop you off by 15:00 to 16:00.
