Travel the world to capture the most incredible landscapes
Journey into the heart of Costa Rica, a bio-diverse country in Central America that teems with wildlife. Situated between the Pacific and Caribbean oceans, this is the perfect destination for photographers seeking to capture pristine landscapes characterised by beaches, volcanoes and tropical rainforests. Costa Rica is home to more than 10% of the world's bird species, as well as over 400 species of reptiles and amphibians. It is here that you will have the adventure of a lifetime as you photograph exotic animals, including monkeys, wildcats, sloths hanging from the trees, tapirs and more.
Over 12 incredible days, you'll travel from San José to the northern Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica, into the Talamanca mountain range in the Highlands, as well as the remote South Pacific region where many hidden waterfalls make for spectacular scenery.
Throughout this adventure, you'll have two local photography guides with you, who will teach you everything that you need to know to take home the most incredible pictures. They'll make sure that you'll be in all of the right places at the best times to make the most of the prevailing conditions.
Take your photography skills to the next level on this 12 day wildlife safari and photography workshop in Costa Rica! See availability by choosing a date.
Please note that a reservation deposit of $1,100 USD per person is required to secure your booking on this photography workshop.
Over the next two days, there will be the option to engage in activities such as zip-lining through the forest canopy, walking across hanging bridges and taking boat rides for an exhilarating take on the scenery in the area.
There will also be many opportunities to capture the teeming birdlife, with the area being home to many kingfishers, scarlet macaws and of course, the beautiful toucans.
Later in the afternoon, we'll take a boat tour of the coast within the Marine National Park Bahía Ballena. This area is popular for whale watching and you can bet that there will be opportunities to photograph dolphins, humpback whales, turtles, as well as other marine wildlife.
The highlight of the day will be a visit to one of the best waterfalls in Costa Rica, the spectacular Nauyaca where crystal clear water cascades into an incredible pool below. Located deep within the mountainous terrain of the rainforests in the South Pacific, this breathtaking location offers up a number of compositions that will make for a truly memorable experience.
We'll spend the afternoon at the small town of Orotina, exploring at our leisure. There will also be the option later today to sit down as a group for a much-needed post-processing session.
If we're lucky, we may spot crocodiles, migratory birds, iguanas, monkeys, raccoons and even crabs as we cruise the waters of this nature sanctuary.
In the evening, we'll make our way back to San José, where we'll check in to our hotel and meet together for one last farewell dinner as a group.
We highly recommend that you get a travel and medical insurance. Your own domestic medical insurance and private health scheme will not cover you whilst you are overseas. The tour is always dependent on weather, as the weather can indeed be highly unpredictable. When it comes to wildlife sightings, there is no guarantee that certain wildlife will appear on a given day.
