Day 1 - Vágar Island

Are you ready to begin an exciting adventure in the Faroe Islands? You’ll be picked up from your accommodation early in the morning to begin your journey. You'll spend much of today exploring the wonderful sights of Vágar Island, as your trusty guide takes you to many of the classic locations for photography. The first stop will be Sørvágsvatn, a massive lake that sits atop cliffs towering over the ocean. This is one of the most stunning places in the Faroe Islands. We'll hike to the famous vantage point known as 'Trælanípa', where we'll capture the mindblowing perspective of this lake perched above the sea. In the evening, we'll head to Gásadalur for a wonderful sunset session by the extraordinary Múlafossur waterfall. This iconic location is perhaps what the Faroe Islands is most well-known for, with water tumbling over the side of a tall cliff face into the North Atlantic Ocean below.

Day 2 - Mykines island

On day two, we'll rise early for breakfast and take a scenic ferry ride out to Mykines Island, where pretty turf-roofed houses dot the landscape. This island is a paradise for birds and we'll spend the day in pursuit of the famous puffins, which are known to be very friendly in these parts! One of the highlights of the day will be the 100-year old Mykines Hólmur Lighthouse, a photogenic building at the end of the islet which makes for a truly inspiring composition. On a calm day, it seems like something out of a fairytale, while stormy conditions can hurl up large waves from the ocean, resulting in dramatic and breathtaking scenes. In the evening, we'll take the ferry back to Vágar Island, where we'll head to a local restaurant for dinner. Thereafter, we'll have a sunset session As evening begins to draw near, we’ll board the ferry back to Vagar island. After dinner we’ll head out for a sunset shoot at Tindhólmur, an enchanting islet that offers an epic view of the Drangarnir sea stacks – one that will surely stand out in your portfolio!

Day 4 - Kalsoy Island, Viðoy Island

On day four of our adventure, we'll make our way to the Funningur church for a sunrise session. Inaugurated in 1847, this traditional wooden church with its turf roof stands peacefully by the coast, looking out towards Kalsoy Island in the distance. We'll spend our time capturing it in the morning light, before heading back to the hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day will be spent at Kalsoy Island, which is home to one of the most astonishing views in the Faroe Islands. We'll make the trek out to the Kallur Lighthouse, an isolated structure that appears to be dwarfed by the expansive landscape surrounding it. Sheer vertical cliff faces here are shrouded in lush green vegetation. It will take us around an hour to get to the viewpoint, though the path is well-built and the ascent is gentle. In the evening, we'll have a sunset session at the Viðareiði church on Viðoy Island, standing steadfast against a magnificent green mountain. After that, we'll return to our hotel in Gjógv.

We highly recommend that you get a travel and medical insurance. Your own domestic medical insurance and private health scheme will not cover you whilst you are overseas.

The tour is always dependent on weather, as the weather can indeed be highly unpredictable. Likewise, sightings of wildlife are dependent on the movements of the animals themselves.
