I first got interested in photography at young age. For the first five years of my life I lived in the small town of Hvolsvöllur. If you visit Iceland and go on a photo tour to the south coast you will pass through it. It’s often regarded as the gateway to the south coast. I then moved to Reykjavík, Iceland capitol city and lived in the same house as one of the camera repair shops. After seeing all those nice shiny gadgets at a young age I was interested in camera equipment. However, I didn’t do anything about it until later in my life when I entered the technical college of Iceland to study photography.
After my studies I served an apprentice ship and haven’t looked back since. As well as guiding other photographers I’ve also worked as local guide for and an assistant on many projects in the film industry, including the Game of thrones, Asics campaign, Dom perignon campaign to name a few. I love travelling and experiencing my country with others and I try to describe the best I can with a camera.
I currently live in Reykjavík with my wife Ágústa, We’re both 35 years young and together we have an 8 year old son.
