Join this 8 day unique arctic adventure to some of the finest unknown locations in Northern Norway. Highlights of the trip include winter landscapes, frozen rivers, pine forests, jagged mountains, grand vistas, colorful fjords and the chance of experiencing the greatest show on earth, the Aurora Borealis aka Northern Lights.
The natural beauty of this incredible landscape offers will present us with the possibility of exploring colorful fjords, jagged mountain peaks, unique beaches and the world renowned arctic light.
The main attraction of this trip however, is the solitude you will find in these places. Hardly anyone knows about the spots we are visiting and its very unlikely you will ever see any other photographers. Its totally off the radar for the rest of the world, and we want to keep it that way. The landscape is wild and almost untouched, and the light in this period of the year can be extraordinary.
For the majority of the trip we will be based in the area around Narvik & Evenes. This area is our own local playground. Arild has lived here his entire life and his knowledge will give you access to some locations that have never before had any outside photographers. Snowcovered forests, small remote waterfalls, impressive mountains. This area is a well kept secret that we are now opening up. We will also spend a day in the area around Norways national mountain, Stetinden. This granite giant is a feast for the eyes and a pure joy to photograph. Imagine the aurora dancing around this evil looking tower!
We will visit the Lyngen Alps with its dagger shaped monster sized peaks and frozen forests. The aurora dancing above these peaks is a sight you wont forget easily. We will visit the Polar Park where you can photograph unique arctic wildlife, like the lynx, bears, wolves, moose and other cool species. Keep in mind the the weather is notoriously unpredictable. Conditions and light changes constantly, so please be sure to read our “must-bring” clothing and gear lists provided by email upon registration.

The tour is always dependent on weather, as the Icelandic weather can indeed be highly unpredictable. Likewise, visits to ice caves are dependent on favorable conditions, and indeed the ice caves themselves are not permanent. When it comes to the Northern Lights, while they are most likely to be seen between September and April, there is no guarantee that they will appear on a given day.
